FAQ / MEXICO AND MEXICO CITY
Where do I fly to?
Whether coming from Europe, US or somewhere in Mexico, we recommend flying into the AICM, it's the easiest for transport and links to the city.
How do I get around in Mexico City?
There is a public transport system, as well as bikes, but it can be a bit overwhelming to navigate. While areas like Polanco, Juarez, Roma and Condesa are walkable, for slightly longer trips we recommend taking an Uber, or booking a taxi through your hotel. Ubers are generally reliable and available everywhere in the city. Bear in mind that traffic is very heavy, with journeys usually taking longer than predicted by Google Maps.
Is Mexico City safe?
Mexico City for tourists is as safe as any other big city. Beware of pickpocketing, particularly in the Historic Center, and have your wits about you, but it's safe.
Any other tips to navigate Mexico City?
Museums are closed on Mondays. You should tip between 12%-15% in each tab (tips are not included). The altitude might make you feel a little sick at first (just hydrate!). It's illegal to drink alcohol out in the street so take that into account!
Are Mexican weddings really different?
A little! There is a lot more dancing (so start practicing). Mexican weddings are also open bar, no need to go order your drinks - you'll get a waiter assigned to you to take care of you throughout the evening.
How long should I stay in Mexico City?
We usually recommend at least 4-5 days to see the city. If you'd like to visit the pyramids, this takes nearly a whole day, so allow a little extra time!
FAQ / THE WEDDING
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP as soon as possible. We know international travel takes planning, which is also why we want to be as certain as we can on numbers. The deadline to RSVP is March 15, 2026.
Where is the venue?
The venue, Museo Casa de la Bola, is located next to parque Lira, to the south-west of some of the most popular tourist areas of the city (and the areas we've suggested for you to stay!). However, as always, allow for traffic when planning your journey!
What time should I arrive at the venue?
Arrive at 2:30pm.
Can I smoke at the venue?
Museo Casa de la Bola is a no-smoking venue. Because it's a museum, the contents within the space are valuable and need caring for.
Can I park in the venue?
If you require parking, please contact us directly. We recommend arriving via Uber or taxi.
Will there be other events around the wedding?
Yes! Please book your Thursday, May 14th for an ice breaker event at an undisclosed location.
